Abstract

The B!POD Compostable Bags were developed as a multilayer material system, balancing high preservation performance with the simplicity required for everyday use. Each layer was selected and calibrated to perform a specific function, combining mechanical resistance, compostability, food protection and ease of handling within an extremely thin structure. Coathink® technology applies a water-based functional coating that improves the barrier properties of the material, helping to preserve food quality and extend shelf life without compromising compostability. The external 40-micron paper layer provides a tactile, writable surface for identifying contents, transforming a technical packaging solution into a more intuitive and personal object.
