Abstract

Margot reimagines the architecture of the moka by separating the act of brewing from the act of serving. The technical body remains on the stovetop, where it manages heat, pressure and extraction, while an independent vessel receives the coffee and carries it to the table. Rather than applying a new form to a familiar object, the project questions one of its most established assumptions: why should the object that makes coffee also be the one that serves it? By dividing these two functions, Margot preserves the recognizable ritual of the moka while introducing a new sequence of gestures, a new relationship with the table and a more refined serving experience.
