Perini Silverwing

2017

Abstract

Perini Silverwing is a bachelor’s thesis project developed in collaboration with Perini Navi, based on the hull platform of Seahawk, Perseus³ and Seven. Combining generative design, topology optimisation and Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM), it explores a lighter, integrated aluminium structure, designed to reduce material use and welded joints while preserving the original hull geometry.
