Abstract
The B!POD Vacuum Bowls were designed around the physical forces generated by deep vacuum. Their axially symmetrical geometry naturally distributes pressure across the structure, allowing each container to reach and stably maintain an ultimate pressure of 50 millibars, performance typically associated with metal vessels. The reinforced lid transforms this engineering requirement into the defining visual element of the collection: an eyeglass-shaped structure that controls deformation while giving the product its distinctive identity. The profile combines the precision and restraint of Japanese objects with the generous proportions of ancient Roman vessels, evolving across three stackable sizes that can also nest inside one another. The bowls are made from ocean-bound plastic, chemically recycled back into monomers and converted into food-grade polymers. The transparent lid is moulded in high-thickness Tritan™ TX2001, combining structural resistance with optical clarity and turning the mechanics of vacuum into a visible part of the design.
